Ta-da! Hehehe, ok yeah it might not be that important, but its fianlly finished. Or as finished as it is going to get anyways. There are still a few spots that need some work, but I don't know when I'll take the time to do that so I just uploaded it as is.
Some small explaination, I suppose.
This was originally a piece for December theme. As I'm sure you can see, I missed the deadline terribly. The idea is sorta the Spirit of Nature, with the colors representing the seasons. Reds for autumn, grays for winter, yellows for summer, and greens for spring. The figure is painted exiting the frame to represent the passage of time, and the with streaks of gray hair (on a very young woman) to represent the old age of our realitivly young planet.
Does any of this make sense?!?
I like this muchly. It's so layered and detailed. I can see why it would take so long. My only problem is with the face. Somehow it seems flatter than the rest of the picture, especially compared to the hands, which are simply amazing. Everything is so wonderfulyl detailed...I could stare at it for hours and still miss nuances.
